I had my home on the market for 6 months with a Real Estate Agent who had said “NO” to my question of “do I need to have my home staged?”
After 6 months I changed the Agency and Real Estate Agent. Immediately it was recommended to me that I used Heather Russell to stage my home. Heather came the very next day with the Agent to spend time talking with me, getting to know a little about me and my preferences /likes and dislikes. We agreed on a one-month staging plan which I felt was very fair and reasonable.
Heather showed her talent and skill as a home stager with a well thought out plan that enhanced the home’s décor while retaining its own individual character.
She used some of my own furniture but also bought in different pieces of her own and blended everything seamlessly. Some rooms only required small changes using simple colourful accessories to enhance them while in other rooms she made substantial changes. Heather took all the time she needed to get the right effect and regularly checked that I was happy with what she was doing.
The end result was AMAZING!

Home staging in 2020
During (and beyond) 2020, you simply won’t see successful agents showing empty white boxes or poorly presented property to potential buyers. To maximise the opportunity of a house hitting its reserve or sale price it really needs to create that WOW factor as its not enough to base properties on the market value at the time. Educated buyers now want to see a completed product and high-quality staging has become a must-have-tool in the toolbox of many sellers, agents, developers and investors.
Add to that, the inevitable changes ahead within the property market post-COVID-19. We don’t yet know what effect the pandemic will have on property. Therefore, it will be vital for sellers to do everything possible to ensure the value of their property stands out from the competition. In a nutshell, we are living in times and locally, a real estate market where sellers must ensure that their home presentation is top-notch.
